This shoot is “a story of a horse and her master”, as photographer Mark Drew explains it. Model Daria is the horse; bound up in harnesses and saddles of the actual equine kind (not the usual fetish-come-fashionleather harness accessories). Even her hair, styled by Livio Angileri into braids that encircle her neck, is representative of her state of submissiveness.
By the end of Drew’s beautifully photographed black and white shoot the slave has become the master. The dominated girl overpowers and seduces her captor, gaining her freedom.
